i just sung ‘noisy hearts’ and ’still’.
marshall is making a comp.
mark is sitting next to me, continuing
his pursuit of geekest-male-ever-over-age-30 by playing some computer
game called ‘world of warcraft’….
on a PC! yikes!
i hope nerd is not contagious.

it was a pretty fucking triumphant week of tracking the new songs.
i can say this because, other than me being there, i really had nothing
to do with it. i just sang and played acoustic.
but the tracks are seriously unbelievable.
it was surreal actually how good the band was.
and the engineer, karl.
and the room, the boat in lovely in oh so hip silverlake.
and marshall, mark and i almost got along.
i might have threatened a few lives… but that’s to be expected.

the band for this round was:
aaron tap, guitar. john thomasson, bass. michael chavez, guitar.
ben west, keyboards. jason mcgerr, drums.
everyone was stupidly good. we tracked most of it live.
MVP definitely goes to mcgerr who just fucking SLAYED it.
it was such a pleasure having him there to anchor everyone.
and groove like he had jelly in his pants.

this fucking record is so good! ah!
can’t wait. i think it’s coming out in august.
and i PROMISE you are going to love it.
